This free Easter word search printable PDF is a perfect screen free activity to keep the kids busy this Easter!
The fun printable puzzle has 20 spring and Easter themed words hidden throughout, including favorites like chocolate, candy, peeps and tulips.
The words are hidden forwards, backwards, horizontally, vertically and diagonally, so this is a puzzle that might be slightly better suited for older kids. But don’t worry if you get stuck – there’s a free printable answer sheet included in your download that will help you find all the answers at a glance!

A Fun and easy Easter activity for kids
Easter can be such a crazy time with all the chocolate treats and candy that goes around!
You know how it goes… The kids are running around creating chaos on a sugar high and the excitement of that fun Easter egg hunt.
But sometimes you just need a quiet few moments so you can sit down, put your feet up and enjoy your coffee while it’s still hot.
And what better way to do that than with a peaceful activity to help keep the kids calm and busy?
Word searches are so perfect for times like this. They’re an easy way for you to de-stress and for the kids to have a little sugar-free, screen-free fun. And as an added little bonus, word searches are also a great brain work out too! It’s like sneaking veggies into your kids dinner.
There are just so many reasons why I love word search puzzles – they can help to improve vocabulary, spelling, word recognition, and so many other things.

How to get your free word search printable
- Click on the blue download button below.
- Unzip the file to your hard drive.
- Print out as many copies of your Easter word search activity and answer sheet as you need!
The puzzle and the answer sheet are in PDF format in a zipped file. They’re both sized for US Letter paper / 8.5 x 11 inches but you could print it on A4 paper as well! You just might need to adjust your printer settings slightly so that your printer doesn’t crop the edges of the page.
For the best results I’d recommend printing your puzzle out on high quality printer paper.
And if you want to save a bit of paper you could even fit 2 word search puzzles on one page, and then use a paper trimmer (this one is great) to cut each puzzle down to size.
